Cleveland Arts would like to formerly announce the appointment of two new members of staff. Lesley Featherstone has been appointed Programme Manager: Social Inclusion and Tracey Johnson as the new Communications and Systems Officer. Lesley had previously worked for Cleveland Arts on the Articulate programme team before becoming the Programme Manager. Lesley has an MA in Art in Context and a BA(hons) in Fine Art from the University of Sunderland. Her extensive knowledge of arts and her experiences of working with community groups compliment her project management skills and will enable her to develop an exciting new programme of work for Social Inclusion at Cleveland Arts.
Tracey has a BA(hons) in English Studies and Publishing from Oxford Brookes University. Prior to her employment she had volunteered for Cleveland Arts working on various literature projects. Her previous employment was with BTCV. She is looking forward to the challenges of her new role.
In addition to this Cleveland Arts have just been awarded a three year grant from Northern Arts. This income provides the firm base from which Cleveland Arts can continue to work, providing access to arts for the people of Teesside. Much thanks is due to Northern Arts for their continued support of Cleveland Arts enabling the expansion of arts in the North.
