Moving from school to college, or into employment, can be daunting for any young person. If you have learning difficulties, the process can be more confusing and it is important to understand the choices and opportunities which may be available to you and also what the drawbacks to those choices might be.
Shoot Your Mouth Off, a Tees Valley-based disabled film makers’ group, have been working with Carpet Films and Catcote School in Hartlepool to produce a DVD which attempts to explain what transition has meant to young people in the Hartlepool, using a documentary-style approach including interviews with students and staff.
tees valley arts, who have supported the initiative, will shortly have copies available from Melrose House, Melrose Street, Middlesbrough.
