Tees Valley Arts is a charitable trust. Based in Middlesbrough, but serving all five Tees Valley boroughs, we work to help individuals and communities improve their lives through creative participation; we work with people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, and we are particularly proud of our work with young people in challenging circumstances and with those newly arrived in the UK.
We help people make positive next steps in their lives.
We have a fantastic track record going back over 30 years. We work closely with statutory and voluntary sector agencies, both locally and regionally. We have recently gone through a restructuring and rebirth so that we have solid financial foundations for the next chapter in our history.
We have a varied and experienced Board, including representation from Business, Arts and Local government. Our current Chair is standing down after 4 years due to a change in his main employment. We are also looking to expand our existing Board.
We’re seeking a Chair who can help to lead and inspire a diverse and highly engaged team of Trustees from Arts, Business and Government sectors.
You will support the Chief Executive in delivering the Business Plan, and have the strategic focus to ensure we continue to provide high quality life changing opportunities to the people and communities of Teesside.
As an ambassador you will represent Tees Valley Arts at a local and national level. As we continue to develop, build and maintain relationships and alliances with a broad range of stakeholders across Arts, Business and Local Government networking skills will be essential.
The time commitment will be approximately one day per month and the role is not financially remunerated.
