This town that I call home,
Surrounded by moors and hills
Not far from the coast.
The view from the top of the bank
A sight to behold – the works
That helped to build the place
and the bridges green and blue,
even the clock at the top
of the old town hall and the haze
that fills the skies adds
something to the atmosphere.
The sound from the stadium
when the team scores a goal,
the passion and pride roars through the air
loud, proud and clear for all to hear.
I’ve never left this place
because I guess what they say is true,
there’s no place like home.
