What if in the basement of the house
You discover a secret passage
Dark and wet and cold
Going to investigate
Carefully tiptoeing along like a mouse going for food
Hoping I don’t get lost or locked in this dark unknown passage
My mind wonders, my heart races
I see a light from this dark place
I clamber to the top to discover
A big field green in colour
Darting eyes look back at me
Standing there is a man, I see children playing
This strange passage of wonder has led me
To an old school playing field.
