In Praise of Water
The colourless fluid Flows in nature Water is everywhere In heavens and on earth Water can damage in abundance As well as in absence One drop counts in the Sahara One drop on a woman’s hair Farmers pray for it Water is in our cells The base of all life Precious in its essence God provides it to all creatures Some use it as a home Others pay insurance To protect themselves from it A drop in the wrong place can cost money As it did in my house this morning
