Artist Brief
We are offering two opportunities, open to recently graduated and/or early career artists with an interest in filmmaking and narrative storytelling. The work will be undertaken with groups of young people aged 14-26 across the Tees Valley who reflect the diverse makeup of the area and will focus on the themes of PLACE and CULTURE. All those involved will have support and mentoring from a nationally renowned lead artist and Tees Valley Arts throughout the process and all necessary filmmaking kit will be provided.
Real Tees Valley
We are now seeking expressions of interest for our Real Tees Valley Project part of Great Place Tees Valley to work with young people from groups across Teesside including those using Transgender support services (based in Stockton) and those who are part of the National Citizen Service (based in East Cleveland).
We invite first stage expressions of interest which should include a statement about your practice, details of previous experience in a related area and an outline of how you would approach the brief. This should be no more than 3 sides of A4 in total. Please include details of your availability between December 2018 and March 2019.
The maximum overall budget for this commission will be £5,000 which includes fees, travel & subsistence and materials (payment schedule to be agreed) and is based on an assumption of 15 days’ work paid at the relevant Artists’ Union England rates.

- Co-produce a film about culture in the tees valley as seen by young people.
