A specially carved benefactors’ tree now takes pride of place in the main entrance of the Friarage Hospital, with individual names carved onto the separate leaves.
The tree was one of the first landmark pieces of art commissioned as part of the Northallerton hospital’s redevelopment and Darlington artist Lee Brewster worked on its design.
Saltburn artist Chloe Buck has captured the essence of Cook’s voyages in a series of etched glass panels along the main (yellow) mall at The James Cook University Hospital.
Her work shows the flora and fauna of the southern hemisphere but also includes an engraved benefactor’s panel along the bottom to recognise the generous donations made to the Healing Arts project.
