About Blaze Sculpture
Blaze sculpture was created by Ian McChesney for Middlesbrough Borough Council installed in 2011 and removed in 2019. A linear sculpture along the A66 through Middlesbrough. Its aim was to provide continuity and identity to the currently disparate roadside verges.

Ian McChesney is a sculptre and architect who is known for his work such as Blaze in Middlesbrough, 2011, the museum of Zoology Cambridge, Thames &Hudson, and the Royal Academy of Music.
